I don't need to have to add so much extra work each time I want to open my game.❗ Remember to Remove Custom Content and MODS before updating. The thing that most worries me at the moment is the issue some are having with having to check all of their EPs and SPs before launching the game each time. Now I'm getting mods and CC in my game and I don't want to have to deal with unnecessary annoyance and issues that might be introduced to my game by this new patch. I bought all they were prepared to sell me from the store. I have them all on disk, even though I did originally buy a few them as digital downloads from Origin. I even pre-ordered most (if not all) of them. I own all the EPs and SPs for Sims 3 and got them all as they were released. However, I'd be devastated if I lost Sims 3 due to some new bug or other issue that might be introduced by a patch that only seems to offer something I don't want. I am not enjoying Sims 4 and I don't mind if I can never open it again. I do it for Sims 4 and a few other games but none of them are all that important to me. My reasons for not getting this patch was I don't like opening Origin. I always updated as soon as a patch was released before. I'm also told that the folders for the EPs/SPs are changed and are located under The Sims 3 folder. In 1.0 through 1.67, it was possible to bypass the Launcher by running TS3.exe or TS3W.exe. What do you think about the required sign in? This may cause problems if one is sharing the game or wants to run as a non-Steam game. Version 1.67 didn't require you to sign in to Origin to play. The Sims 4 and The Sims Medieval already forced you to sign in and now The Sims 3 does. The first probably is considered a big deal. That includes new purchases from Origin or activations such as those from DVD copies or those purchaser from Amazon.

Ability to change Language through Origin as with The Sims 4.It's believed FPS limiter doesn't work.Originally incompatible with Create a World but CAW should now work.SecuROM is removed from base game and EPs/SPs.There's no OS X version of the update which might be a good thing if you prefer 1.67.There are concerns about TS3 Mods not working with 1.69.You have to select which EPs to play with. You can't bypass the Launcher as it was possible with 1.67.You need to sign in to Origin if you want to play The Sims 3.What do you think of the changes? Should you stay with 1.67 or update to 1.69? Prior to January 11, 2016, EPs/SPs from Origin would work with 1.69 or 1.67 and earlier but as of that date, EPs/SPs from Origin will only download if you have 1.69. I think you can still get 1.67 if you have the DVD release of The Sims 3. I've noticed that if you download The Sims 3 from Origin, it's preinstalled with 1.69. The November 12 update appears to have brought some changes but some or most are not good especially numbers 1 and 2. Edit: A guide to getting The Sims 3 with version 1.67 is here.
